Theresa Muenkel Christy is a graduate of Wellesley College (B.A.), Babson College (M.B.A.) and Central Connecticut State University (M.A.). She joined Otis Elevator Company as a software engineer in 1986 and, in 2006, was named an Otis Fellow in recognition of her expertise in elevatoring and dispatching. Mrs. Christy is a named inventor on numerous elevator patents and has authored papers on traditional and destination based elevator dispatching and elevator traffic analysis. She has contributed to the elevatoring of many buildings around the world including, for example, the Empire State Building (New York City), Chrysler Building (New York City), Bitexco Financial Tower (Ho Chi Minh City) and Petronas Towers (Kuala Lumpur). Mrs. Christy retired from Otis in early 2016 and currently works as a Regional Analysis Consultant, specializing in high-rise and supertall analysis, with Lerch Bates Inc.
