Albert T. So, BSc(Eng), MPhil, PhD, CEng, FCIBSE, FIMechE, FSOE has been working as a researcher and consultant in vertical transportation for over 25 years.  He is now Honorary Visiting Professor with the School of Science and Technology of The University of Northampton in the area of lift engineering and Scientific Advisor /  Executive Committee Member of International Association of Elevator Engineers. 

He has produced more than 40 articles in international journals, magazines and conference proceedings.  He is also chairing the Working Group to compile and review the part on lift and escalator installations within the Building Energy Code of HKSAR Government.
